Ryan Oates (Owner/President) is a graduate of Byrnes High School, class of 1994. After high school, he attended Clemson University where he received a degree in Biological Sciences with a concentration in Botany. He then went on to attend graduate school at Miami University (Oxford, OH) specializing in Plant Molecular Biology.

"I have always been a ‘plant person’ and chose to center my education around plants and genetics.  I’ve been familiar with hydroponics for a while.  I became very excited when I saw how it is being used in practical situations to solve many of the issues that we have with growing food today.  Much of the food that we eat is grown thousands of miles away and with the use of pesticides and other harmful chemicals."
