Tyger River Smart Farm, Inc. is fully committed to producing a safe product that you and your family can feel good about. We refrain from using harmful chemicals, utilize sustainable growing methods, and we also take food safety very seriously. We voluntarily participate in GAP (Good Agricultural Practices) and GHP (Good Handling Practices). Both of these programs are third-party audits administered by the USDA and SCDA. Every year, we are audited to insure that our operations and procedures are performed in a way to minimize the possibility of our produce being contaminated with potentially harmful microbes. Besides general hygiene and sanitation practices, we keep rigorous records to insure that we perform our duties and keep track of where our produce is shipped.
We often receive requests for tours of our facility. For food safety and insurance reasons, we have decided to not allow tours. We apologize for our stance, but we hope you can appreciate that we want our produce to be as safe as possible. We feel one of the best ways to achieve this goal is to keep unauthorized personnel from entering the greenhouse and removing this risk of contamination. We hope that our website will give you insight into us and how our greenhouse works, answering you questions and satisfying your curiosities. Please feel free to email Ryan with any questions.
